Dr. Maria Montessori discovered that in the development of the child, there are “sensitive periods”. At certain stages, children pass through periods of sensitivity to such things as order, courtesy, touch, practical life, language, and numeracy. Our certified Montessori teachers combine this knowledge and a judicious use of authentic Montessori materials, along with traditional learning materials and techniques to provide children with a strong foundation for learning and personal growth. Our CASA Montessori preschool program in Mississauga is much more academic focused than the traditional material-only based Montessori program. Students work with textbooks, workbooks and readers as well as the Montessori materials. Language and math are the core of the curriculum.
